A Beginners Guide to Neural Networks

Perceptron: The very first artificial neural network invented in 1958 by Frank Rosenblatt, an American psychologist. A renowned expert in the field of artificial intelligence. Frank’s intention of inventing ‘Perceptron’ was to model and find out how the human brain can process visual data and at the same time possess the power to recognize objects. Meanwhile, other researchers have tried using similar artificial neural networks (ANNs) to study the human brain. Eventually, it was then when someone realized, instead of using it to provide insights into the functionality of the human brain, why not simply use ANN for their purpose. … from My reading List https://ift.tt/3glNI1X

The Flip to Digital Fitness Won’t Reverse Itself Anytime Soon

There’s no denying that 2020 had a phenomenal impact on the fitness industry. The rapid shutdown of gyms, fitness studios, group classes and other heart-pumping IRL boutique fitness offerings forced consumers to find alternative channels to maintain their health and wellness goals. The Value Of Meaningful Work

Meaning is different from purpose. Purpose is shared; meaning is personal. Employees can share the same purpose but feel differently about their roles. For example, a hospital’s purpose could be stated as, “To provide compassionate care to our community.” An emergency room nurse there might find his greatest sense of meaning by making quick decisions in acutely stressful situations. A patient advocate might find her greatest meaning in helping a family afford care. A recruiter’s great pride could be finding community-oriented employees. Employees want to believe their work is meaningful, and this is particularly true of the upcoming generation of employees. Millennials and Gen Z employees say meaningful work is important to their choice of a job and an employer. Trust is a factor in that choice, however, because if employees suspect a company’s stated values are self-serving or inauthentic, motivation stalls and can even drop . In other words, you can’t fake meaning—people feel it or ...

4 Ways To Become The ‘Cultivating Leader’ That Turbulent Times Demand
